Friends had suggested this to me for a while. The stars aligned and we got into the ranger-lead hike. It rubs my personality a little the wrong way to do the ranger-lead hike but I swallowed my pride and scored spots for me and the boys. I justified it with the boys saying that, "It'll kinda suck because we'll only be able to go where they say we can go, but it'll be worth it because they'll show us all the cool stuff."

It was totally worth it. The hike was nice and the ranger was really cool. I'm glad that I know the basic route but am now really excited to go back solo. There were many, many side canyons that the ranger-led hike didn't go through. Next time we'll explore them all.
